The Ogun State chapter of the Progressive Community Leaders (Baale) Forum Alliance for Tinubu/Yayi 2027 has formally endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi) for the 2027 general elections following its inaugural executive meeting held in Abeokuta.
The historic gathering brought together members of the forum’s executive committee, community leaders, and stakeholders from across Ogun State to deliberate on the future of progressive governance and the role of grassroots traditional leadership in strengthening democratic development.
At the end of the meeting, the executives unanimously passed a vote of confidence in President Tinubu, endorsing him for a second term in office. According to the forum, the endorsement was based on the President’s economic reforms, infrastructure development initiatives, commitment to improving security, support for local government autonomy, and efforts aimed at promoting national growth and stability.
The forum acknowledged that while the nation continues to face economic challenges, President Tinubu has demonstrated courageous and visionary leadership by implementing reforms designed to reposition Nigeria for long-term prosperity.
The executives also unanimously endorsed Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, as their preferred candidate for the Ogun State governorship in the 2027 elections.
Members of the forum commended the senator’s record of legislative representation, constituency development projects, empowerment programmes, educational interventions, and commitment to the welfare of residents, describing him as a grassroots-oriented leader whose accessibility and performance have earned him widespread support across the state.
As part of its resolutions, the forum announced plans to commence extensive grassroots mobilization and sensitization across the 20 local government areas of Ogun State to promote President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and Senator Adeola’s developmental vision for the state.
The forum also stressed the need for greater collaboration among traditional rulers, Baales, community development associations, youth groups, women organisations, and other stakeholders to foster unity and drive sustainable development.
Reaffirming its commitment to peace, security, economic growth, community development, and good governance, the Progressive Community Leaders (Baale) Forum Alliance for Tinubu/Yayi 2027 pledged to continue supporting policies and programmes that improve the well-being of the people.
