Residents of Valley Estate in Ikeja, Lagos State, have expressed profound appreciation to James Abiodun Faleke, the lawmaker representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, for his intervention in ongoing drainage and road construction projects within the community.
In a letter dated February 10, 2026, the Valley Estate Residents’ Association (VERA) praised the federal lawmaker for facilitating the rehabilitation of Mortune Avenue and adjoining roads, describing the initiative as a major relief to residents who have long grappled with poor road conditions and drainage challenges.
According to the association, Faleke’s commitment to the project has brought renewed hope to the community, noting that the mobilization of engineers to the site and visible progress on the project demonstrate his dedication to infrastructural development and effective representation.
The residents further described the intervention as a reflection of the lawmaker’s concern for the welfare of constituents and his alignment with the broader development agenda of the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
VERA noted that the road and drainage project will significantly improve mobility, environmental conditions, and overall quality of life within the estate and surrounding corridors. The association added that the development has inspired residents to unite in supporting initiatives that promote sustainable community growth.
Chairman of the association, Lukmon Abayomi Ayantayo, and Secretary, Yemi Omoniyi, who jointly signed the appreciation letter, also acknowledged the lawmaker’s responsive leadership style, stating that his intervention sets a benchmark for community-driven representation.
They further requested an opportunity to pay a courtesy visit to Faleke in order to formally express their appreciation for his support and commitment to the development of the estate.
The residents expressed optimism that the ongoing project will leave a lasting legacy of infrastructural transformation across Ikeja Federal Constituency and beyond.
