Residents of Ikeja Federal Constituency turned out in large numbers for Day 2 of the ongoing free medical outreach sponsored by Rt. Hon. (Dr.) James Abiodun Faleke, Member of the House of Representatives representing Ikeja. The comprehensive health program, which commenced on June 20 and runs through July 2, 2025, is bringing vital medical services directly to the people across several communities in the constituency.
The outreach is being conducted in partnership with Doctors on the Move Africa, a team of professional medical consultants, and features a wide range of health services including outpatient consultations, free medication, laboratory tests, ultrasound scans, and surgeries. Residents have expressed immense gratitude for the initiative, describing it as a timely and life-saving intervention.
Available Services Include:
- Outpatient consultations and dispensing of medicines
- Laboratory tests: malaria, diabetes, HIV/AIDS, hepatitis, typhoid, prostate PSA, blood group, and more
- Ultrasound screening
- Free dispensing of reading glasses
- Surgeries: hernia, hydrocele, appendectomy, fibroid removal, hysterectomy, goitre, and cataract
- Health awareness campaigns on diseases such as breast and cervical cancer, prostate cancer, cholera, tuberculosis, Lassa fever, HIV/AIDS, COVID-19, and Ebola
Surgeries are being carried out at the General Hospital Ifako-Ijaiye, covering general, gynecological, eye, and goiter-related procedures.

Operating from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily, the outreach is designed to reach residents in all corners of the constituency.
