In celebration of this year’s World Teachers’ Day, the Presidential Community Engagement Office (South-West) has launched the second edition of the BAT-STEM 2.0: Renewed Hope Back-to-School Support Programme 2025, championed by Moremi Ojudu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement (South-West).

Held with the theme “Inspiring Growth Through Education and Mentorship,” the initiative kicked off on October 3rd and will run through October 7th across Ekiti, Ondo, and Osun States, reaffirming President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to quality education and youth empowerment under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The programme saw hundreds of pupils receive school bags, sandals, socks, and writing materials, while teachers were also supported with instructional resources to aid classroom delivery. The event was filled with excitement and gratitude, as head teachers across participating schools expressed overwhelming appreciation for the government’s continuous support.

“This makes our job easier and gives our pupils a renewed sense of confidence to return to school,” one head teacher remarked. “We are truly grateful to Mr. President for prioritizing education and for remembering us on this special Teachers’ Day.”

According to Moremi Ojudu, the BAT-STEM initiative represents more than just an educational outreach—it is an investment in the nation’s future.

“BAT-STEM is designed to inspire growth through Scholarship, Training, Education, and Mentorship. It supports students with essential school kits, empowers teachers with teaching aids, and strengthens communities for sustainable development,” she stated.

The BAT-STEM 2.0 initiative continues to echo the vision of the Renewed Hope Agenda, ensuring that every child—regardless of background—has access to the tools, encouragement, and opportunities needed to thrive.
