Societal Concerns Partners Ashafa Youths in Maiden “Ashafa Youth Day 2024” to Drive Community Development
As the inaugural Ashafa Youth Day 2024 approaches, the stage is set for a memorable event aimed at fostering unity and growth within the Yakoyo community. Organized by Ashafa Youths in partnership with Societal Concerns Organizations , this community engagement initiative promises an impactful symposium under the theme, “Community Development: Approach to a Healthier, Safer, and Secured Society.”
The event supposed to hold October first, The Nigeria Independence Day when the ASRA Youths adorened the street with Nigerian Flags making it unique now scheduled for Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Ashafa Street, Ojodu-Ikeja.
To gather residents, dignitaries, and stakeholders across Lagos to address key aspects of national orientation, youth empowerment, and community development. Expected to attend are notable personalities who have demonstrated leadership and dedication in public service, social justice, and community development.
Some high-profile guests include:
– Rt. Hon. (Dr.) James Abiodun Faleke (JAF), MHR for Ikeja Federal Constituency, known as “Koseleri 1 of Ikeja”
– Kabiyesi High Chief Jamiu Amore, Royal Father of the Day and Baale of Yakoyo Kingdom
– Dr. Keziah Awosika, CEO and Founder of Woman Law and Development Centre of Nigeria
– Hon. Adedamola Richard Kasumu (ARK), Deputy Majority Leader of the Lagos State House of Assembly
– Mrs. Titilola Vivour-Adeniyi, Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency
Societal Concerns Organizations’ commitment to fostering community engagement and inclusivity aligns seamlessly with the goals of Ashafa Youth Day.
Mrs. David Oluwayomi Oluwapelumi, the President, Societal Concerns Organizations (NGO) and publisher of Societal Concerns Magazine, expressed excitement about the partnership, noting, “This event reflects our shared values of empowering communities and providing platforms for positive social change.”
Participants will benefit from a range of complimentary services, from LASRRA and NIN registration to medical checks, body massages, and blood sugar level tests. Government grants registration is also open to qualified participants, aimed at supporting the community’s entrepreneurial spirit.
