Lions Club International Partners Vitafoam Free Medical Care to Osogbo Residents
Compassion and service to humanity took center stage as the Osun Classic Lions Club and the Osun Esteem Lions Club, under District 404B2 of Lions Club International, collaborated with Vitafoam to address pressing community health concerns.
The partnership, which emphasizes the Lions Club’s core mandate of serving the needy, offered free medical checkups and diabetes awareness to residents of Osogbo. The initiative, held at Moniade Nifaji Nigeria Enterprises Olonkoro Shopping Complex, featured free blood pressure and sugar level tests, alongside the distribution of essential medications.

Speaking at the event, Lion Hajia Toyin Adesoye, the Charter President of Osun Classic Lions Club, expressed gratitude to Alhaja Moniade, Director of Moniade Vitafoam, for supporting the initiative. She urged attendees to prioritize regular medical checkups, emphasizing the importance of early detection in preventing sudden health breakdowns.
“Compassion is the medicine that heals the soul,” Adesoye remarked. “By giving medical care to the needy, we administer a dose of kindness that echoes eternity.”

Distinguished Lions members graced the occasion, including Lion Sanyaolu Opeyemi, District Administrator; Lion Babatunde Olawiyola, Deputy Cabinet Secretary; and Lion Moses Adewuyi, President of Osun Esteem Lions Club. Others present were Lion Funke Odesanmi, President of Osogbo Metropolitan Lions Club, and Lion Safiu Oladimeji, Marketing and Communication Chairperson for Osun Classic Lions Club, who represented the club president.
The event’s highlights included the distribution of free exercise books to attendees and a heartfelt message on the importance of health awareness. Alhaja Moniade, the host and partner, was also lauded for her invaluable support.
