ACAMB Mourns the Passing of Dr. Herbert Wigwe, CEO of Access Holdings

Dr. Herbert WIGWE, CEO Access Holdings 

The Association of Corporate & Marketing Communications Professionals in Nigeria Banks (ACAMB) is deeply saddened by the tragic passing of Dr. Herbert Wigwe, CFR, CEO of Access Holdings Group. Alongside his wife, Doreen, and son, Chizi, Dr. Wigwe lost his life in a helicopter crash in the United States.

Affectionately known as ‘The Fearless One,’ Dr. Wigwe was a visionary leader whose contributions to the banking and financial sector in Nigeria were unmatched. His dedication to excellence, innovation, and community development inspired countless professionals within and beyond the industry.

ACAMB also mourns the loss of Mr. Abimbola Ogunbanjo, former Chairman of The Nigerian Exchange Group, a distinguished lawyer, and businessman.

ACAMB President, Rasheed Bolarinwa, expressed heartfelt condolences to Access Holdings Group and Dr. Wigwe’s family, emphasizing his profound impact on the corporate and banking world. The ACAMB family stands in solidarity with Access Holdings Group during this difficult time, extending thoughts and prayers to all affected by this tragedy.
