It was a gathering of eminent Nigerians on Monday, October 27, 2025, as Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, the Chief of Staff to the President, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, and former President Olusegun Obasanjo joined family members, friends, and admirers at the Service of Songs and Night of Tributes in honour of the late elder statesman, Dr. Christopher Kolade.

The solemn yet celebratory event held at the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts, National Theatre, Iganmu, Lagos, provided an avenue for dignitaries to eulogize the late diplomat, broadcaster, and corporate icon for his integrity, leadership, and enduring legacy of service to the nation.
