Hadiza Bala Usman Urges Ministers to Deliver on Promises or Face Consequences

In a recent address during the technical retreat for federal ministries’ delivery officers in Uyo, Hadiza Bala Usman, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy and Coordination, emphasized the President’s commitment to improving the lives of Nigerians. Usman warned ministers that those failing to meet their mandates would be relieved of their duties, highlighting the seriousness of the President in fulfilling his promises.

During the retreat, Usman called for unwavering commitment from delivery officers and planning directors, stressing their pivotal role in tracking ministerial progress. She stated, “Ministers will be assessed, and ministers will be dropped if they don’t perform,” underscoring the need for accountability in achieving the government’s objectives.

Usman cited specific examples, such as evaluating the functionality of facilities at airports and monitoring fertilizer use in agriculture, as part of the assessment process. The President’s Special Adviser emphasized the importance of tangible and visible improvements in various sectors, urging all stakeholders to contribute to the nation’s progress.
