Calls for Unity, Peace, Grassroots Mobilisation as She Assumes Role as PBAT ICG South-West DG

Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, OFR, the newly appointed South-West Director General of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Independent Campaign Group (PBAT ICG), has unveiled a three-point strategic agenda aimed at strengthening the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign structure across the South-West ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a heartfelt appreciation message to party leaders, stakeholders, supporters, and well-wishers across the South-West and Nigeria, Orelope-Adefulire described her appointment by the national leadership of the PBAT Independent Campaign Group, under the chairmanship of Prince Tajudeen Oluyole Olusi, as a great honour and a call to greater service.

She expressed profound gratitude for the overwhelming goodwill and congratulatory messages received from political associates, supporters, and constituents, particularly from her political base in Alimosho Federal Constituency.

According to her, leading the grassroots campaign architecture for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda across the South-West comes with enormous responsibility and a renewed commitment to ensuring victory for the APC in future elections.

Three-Point Strategic Agenda

As part of her immediate action plan, the former Deputy Governor of Lagos State outlined a three-pronged strategy she believes will strengthen the party’s grassroots campaign machinery and position it for electoral success.

The first pillar of the strategy focuses on reconciliation and unity.

She urged party leaders and campaign structures across the South-West to immediately reach out to aggrieved members at the grassroots, stressing that internal cohesion remains the strongest foundation for political success.

“A united front is unstoppable,” she declared, emphasizing that reconciliation at the ward and local government levels would strengthen the APC ahead of future electoral contests.

The second pillar centres on peaceful political engagement.

Orelope-Adefulire called on all campaign coordinators, stakeholders, and support groups to ensure that campaign activities remain peaceful, orderly, inclusive, and welcoming to every eligible voter.

According to her, peaceful campaigns inspire public confidence and create the right atmosphere for democratic participation.

The third pillar is effective communication of government achievements.

She charged campaign teams to intensify door-to-door engagements aimed at educating Nigerians on the Federal Government’s achievements under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, particularly in infrastructure development, security, economic reforms, and social investment programmes.

She noted that direct engagement with citizens would provide an opportunity to communicate verifiable milestones of the Renewed Hope Agenda while addressing public concerns at the grassroots.

Ekiti Victory Provides Winning Blueprint

Princess Orelope-Adefulire also congratulated Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, on his electoral victory, describing it as a validation of people-centred governance and disciplined political organisation.

According to her, the peaceful and decisive outcome of the Ekiti governorship election provides a tested model that can be replicated across Nigeria.

She described the victory as the “Ekiti Formula” and urged APC members nationwide to adopt its principles of peace, unity, discipline, and grassroots mobilisation.

“If we are to replicate the Ekiti victory nationwide, we must embrace the peace and unity that made it possible. Sustainable political triumph is never built on internal friction or division,” she stated.

Building a Strong Grassroots Movement

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) stressed that grassroots mobilisation remains the cornerstone of every successful political campaign.

She called on campaign coordinators, support groups, women, youths, and party faithful to work together as one united family capable of delivering victories in forthcoming elections.

According to her, the objective extends beyond securing President Tinubu’s re-election to ensuring APC victories in State Houses of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate, and governorship elections across the country.

She maintained that the party’s campaign would be anchored on the measurable achievements recorded by the Tinubu administration since 2023.

Appreciation to Supporters

Orelope-Adefulire reserved special appreciation for her political family in Alimosho Federal Constituency, describing the constituency as the foundation of her political journey.

She said the tributes, goodwill messages, and handbills received from supporters have strengthened her resolve to continue serving with dedication and commitment.

She also thanked friends, political associates, and well-wishers across Nigeria for their encouragement and confidence in her leadership.

Calling for collective action, she urged all campaign structures to approach the assignment with discipline, unity, and unwavering commitment.

“Let us enter this season not as fragmented groups, but as one formidable, disciplined force committed to total victory for our party and nation,” she said.

Her appointment as South-West Director General of the PBAT Independent Campaign Group is widely seen as a strategic move to consolidate grassroots support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda across the region ahead of the 2027 general elections.
