Afrobeat-rooted artist and cultural reformer Nosa Marshal, whose real name is Nosa Igbinomwanhia, is set to release a groundbreaking new single titled “Reason” in the coming month. Known for his lyrical consciousness and commitment to societal betterment, Nosa introduces the track under his self-developed genre, Ighede Sound — a powerful evolution of Afrobeat crafted to educate, inspire, and unite.
“Afrobeat proper is bone in me,” says the singer, “but Ighede Sound is a universal expression born of my identity and purpose.”
“Reason” explores the emotional and psychological landscapes of belief, hope, and reality, seeking to redirect collective mindsets towards truth and empathy. The single features rising star Little Vicky, whom Nosa calls “a special singer”, adding a soulful dimension to an already thought-provoking composition.
Distributed under IN RECORDS, the track will be available on all major streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, Audiomack, YouTube, and more. It is currently managed via DistroKid, though Nosa plans to switch to CD Baby for future distribution.
While no producers collaborated on the upcoming project, Nosa has hinted at future creative partnerships on his next album.
More than just music, the single is part of a larger movement powered by Nosa’s humanitarian foundation, I.C.F.F (Igbinomwanhia Children First Foundation) — an initiative focused on generational re-education and cultural preservation.
“Music is a tool,” Nosa explains. “It is the combination of positive lyrics and progressive energy to build better, happier communities. This journey is about helping humanity find its way back to the front doors of dignity and truth.”
Speaking on his journey, Nosa adds:
“To be consistent in this industry is not bread and butter. I was called to this path, and I worked hard. My lyrics are rooted in moral clarity — because that’s what music should be.”
Fans can expect live performances, tours, and public engagements following the release. A music video is under consideration. Nosa encourages listeners to continue supporting and streaming his work, not just as entertainment but as a message of hope.
“I LOVE YOU ALL TO THE BONES,” he says. “Let’s keep preserving our culture in the right sense of reality. May the Creator bless us all.”
