Glo Sponsors Premiere of RMD’s New Movie Radio Voice
…A celebration of resilience, passion, and digital storytelling
Digital solutions giant, Globacom, has once again demonstrated its unwavering support for Nigeria’s entertainment industry by sponsoring the premiere of Radio Voice, a captivating new movie produced by veteran actor Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD). The premiere took place on Sunday at the prestigious Alliance Française, Mike Adenuga Centre, Ikoyi, Lagos.
The film, which draws attention to the challenges and triumphs of individuals working in radio, was described by RMD as “the triumph of the human spirit over adversity.” He explained, “It’s about the lives of people on radio, their challenges, cyber bullying, and the resilience to succeed against all odds. It’s a movie everyone needs to watch.”
Speaking on his renewed journey into film production, RMD said, “It’s time when it’s time, you know. I’ve produced before, but this is the first time in the new era, so to speak.”
Radio Voice is a motivational tale rooted in passion, transformation, and the human will to overcome. It features a stellar cast including Nse Ikpe-Etim, Nancy Isime, Deyemi Okanlawon, Damilola Adegbite, and Timini Egbuson, alongside RMD himself.
Globacom’s sponsorship of the movie premiere is yet another testament to its long-standing investment in the creative industry. Since its launch in 2003, Glo has carved a niche as a key driver of entertainment in Nigeria. The telecoms brand has engaged leading entertainers as ambassadors and supported major reality shows such as Glo Naija Sings, X Factor, Battle of the Year, and Dance with Peter, while also organizing concerts and comedy tours across the nation.
Radio Voice also enjoys the endorsement of the Office of the Vice President, as it aligns with the Federal Government’s ongoing initiatives in Creative Arts and Digital Transformation.
With Radio Voice, Glo continues to amplify voices, tell inspiring stories, and champion platforms that showcase Nigerian talent and creativity to the world.
