In her welcome address, Hon. Kekenke expressed appreciation to stakeholders for what she termed their “consistency, loyalty, and dedication” to the ideals of the Lagos4Lagos Movement. She explained that the meeting was convened to deepen cohesion within the division and enhance operational effectiveness at all levels.
According to her, discipline, coordination, and sustained grassroots engagement remain essential pillars for advancing the movement’s goals. She urged leaders across the LCDAs to remain focused and united, emphasizing that organizational strength at the divisional level is critical to overall success.
Speaking during the session, Hon. Amode commended the strong turnout and visible unity among leaders. He stressed the importance of collective responsibility and strategic clarity, noting that the Ikeja Division plays a pivotal role in shaping the strength and credibility of the Lagos4Lagos Movement statewide.
“A strong and organized Ikeja Division is central to our collective vision,” he said, adding that sustained collaboration among stakeholders would reinforce the movement’s structure and expand its reach at the grassroots.
Deliberations at the meeting included strategic consultations, a review of ongoing activities across the division, and alignment on next steps. Participants resolved to intensify mobilization efforts, improve internal communication channels, and strengthen the movement’s presence across communities within the division.
The engagement concluded with a renewed commitment to inclusive leadership, effective mobilization, and purposeful political participation. Leaders reiterated the movement’s broader objective of promoting a more participatory and people-driven Lagos, anchored on unity, accountability, and sustained grassroots involvement.
