There was an unexpected development in the Nigerian telecommunication industry with the name change of 9mobile to T2.
The company had announced the formal commencement of its transition to a new corporate and consumer identity, T2.
“This is not just a logo change, it’s a total evolution of who we are, why we exist, and how we deliver value,” Obafemi Banigbe, the Chief Executive Officer, said at the launch in Lagos.
“T2 represents our next chapter. It is a symbol of our renewed commitment to innovation, resilience, and a deepened focus on customer experience. We are building a brand that is ready to thrive in the digital economy.”
This is in fulfillment of the prophecy of Primate Elijah Ayodele which he shared in September regarding the telecommunication company.
The prophet had in September 2024 revealed prophecies about major telecommunication companies in Nigeria including MTN, 9mobile and Glo.
For 9mobile, Primate Ayodele revealed that there will be changes in the company, categorically stating that the name of the company will be changed.
These were his words:
“9mobile will fizzle out, if care isn’t taken, they will sell them and their name will change because they won’t perform effectively. They will be nothing to write home about and they will run into unexpected death…..”
The announcement of a name change yesterday no doubt has fulfilled the prophecy of Primate Elijah Ayodele.
