Barely weeks after receiving the prestigious Eko Awards 2026 for his exceptional contributions to grassroots development and philanthropy, prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart, Barr. Ajala Ganiyu Olawale (AGO), has recorded another major milestone in his political career with his appointment as a member of the Osun State APC Campaign Council.
The appointment, regarded by political observers as a significant vote of confidence in AGO’s leadership capacity and unwavering commitment to the progressive family, marks his first national assignment within the APC since he was honoured at the Eko Awards 2026, held at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos.
Societal Concerns had earlier reported that AGO emerged as one of the distinguished recipients of the Eko Awards 2026, in recognition of his remarkable grassroots development initiatives, humanitarian interventions, and sustained commitment to empowering communities across Lagos and beyond.

On Tuesday, the APC formally inaugurated members of the Osun State APC Campaign Council at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja, in a ceremony attended by some of the biggest names and influential stakeholders within the ruling party. The inauguration brought together governors, ministers, members of the National Working Committee, National Assembly members, and other party leaders, highlighting the strategic importance of the forthcoming Osun State governorship election.
Barr. Ajala Ganiyu Olawale was appointed to serve on the Security Committee of the campaign council alongside Hon. Azeez Aladeyelu and Hon. Bestman Nze Jumbo, both respected APC leaders with proven records of service.
Reacting to the development, the AGO Movement described the appointments as well deserved and a testament to the confidence reposed in its leaders by the national leadership of the APC.

In a statement signed by the movement, it congratulated its Founder, Barr. Ajala Ganiyu Olawale (AGO), as well as Hon. Azeez Aladeyelu and Hon. Bestman Nze Jumbo, on their appointments to the Security Committee of the Osun State APC Campaign Council.
The movement stated that the appointments reflected the trio’s unwavering loyalty, dedication, competence and steadfast commitment to the growth and success of the All Progressives Congress.
“Our distinguished leaders have consistently demonstrated loyalty, discipline and an uncommon commitment to the ideals of the APC. Their appointments are well deserved and a testament to their capacity to deliver on critical national assignments,” the statement noted.
It further urged the appointees to see the assignment as another opportunity to deepen their service to the party and the nation.
“We are confident that your wealth of experience, discipline and leadership will contribute immensely to delivering victory for our great party in the forthcoming Osun State governorship election. We pray that Almighty God grants you wisdom, strength, protection and outstanding success throughout this assignment. We have no doubt that you will justify the confidence reposed in you and make the party proud,” the statement added.
Political analysts have described AGO’s latest appointment as a natural progression of his growing influence within the APC, noting that his recognition at the Eko Awards and his subsequent elevation to a national campaign responsibility underscore his increasing relevance in Nigeria’s political space.
Supporters of the legal practitioner and grassroots mobiliser have also welcomed the development, describing it as a reward for years of dedicated service, community engagement, and unwavering commitment to the ideals of progressive politics.
For many within the APC family, AGO’s journey from being celebrated for grassroots development and philanthropy to earning a strategic national campaign role within weeks is a reflection of purposeful leadership, consistency, and an enduring commitment to public service.
