The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, Bode Ojajuni, has reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening inter-agency collaboration following a series of strategic familiarization visits to key security formations across the state.
The visits, held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, took the police chief to the Nigerian Army’s 35 Artillery Brigade, the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Ogun State.
At the 35 Artillery Brigade, Alamala Barracks, Abeokuta, where he was received by Brigadier General Godwin U. Nwamba, discussions centered on reinforcing the long-standing military–police partnership. Both leaders reviewed existing joint operational frameworks and explored improved coordination in rapid response strategies, intelligence-led deployments, and synchronized patrols in identified security flashpoints.
During his engagement with the DSS, the police commissioner held talks with the State Director, R.A. Adelakun, focusing on strengthening intelligence-driven security architecture. The meeting emphasized proactive intelligence gathering, enhanced surveillance, and timely dissemination of actionable information to prevent security breaches and tackle organized crime effectively.
At the NIS Ogun State Command, CP Ojajuni was received by Comptroller of Immigration Olufunke Yetunde Odusote. Discussions highlighted the importance of effective border security management, including efforts to curb illegal migration, human trafficking, smuggling, and the infiltration of criminal elements through unauthorized routes. Both agencies stressed the need for robust intelligence sharing and joint monitoring of border communities.
Similarly, at the NSCDC Ogun State Command, Commandant Remilekun Omolade Ekundayo hosted the police delegation. The meeting focused on safeguarding critical national assets and infrastructure, with emphasis on joint enforcement operations against vandalism and sabotage, as well as coordinated responses to emergencies and civil disturbances.
CP Ojajuni expressed appreciation to the leadership and personnel of the various agencies for their continued cooperation and dedication to maintaining peace and security in Ogun State. He described inter-agency synergy as a critical pillar for effective policing and noted that the visits were aimed at consolidating existing partnerships while building stronger operational frameworks.
The police commissioner reiterated the Ogun State Police Command’s commitment to intelligence-driven policing, enhanced coordination, and sustained collaborative efforts to ensure the safety of lives and property across the state.
