Zenith Bank Appoints Abiodun Durosinmi as Chief Financial Officer

Zenith Bank Plc has appointed Mr. Abiodun Durosinmi as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective October 14, 2024. The appointment has received the approval of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Mr. Durosinmi succeeds Dr. Mukhtar Adam, who served as CFO for six years, from May 2018 to October 2024. With over 20 years of experience at Zenith Bank, Mr. Durosinmi brings a wealth of expertise to his new role. He has held several key positions within the Zenith Group, including CFO/Head of Accounts at Zenith Pensions Custodian Limited, Head of Oil and Gas Upstream, and Deputy Group Chief Compliance Officer. Most recently, he served as Chief Operations Officer/General Manager for Finance, Operations, and Technology at Zenith Bank (Ghana) Limited, where he played a pivotal role in the subsidiary’s growth and profitability.

A seasoned Chartered Accountant and Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA), Mr. Durosinmi holds an MSc in Finance from the University of Leicester and a Global MBA from Alliance Manchester Business School. He has also completed Executive Management Programs at renowned institutions such as Harvard Business School and London Business School.

Zenith Bank, in a statement signed by its company secretary, Michael Osilama Otu, emphasized that the appointment underscores the bank’s commitment to maintaining strong financial leadership and continued success in a rapidly evolving global market. Mr. Durosinmi’s extensive experience in financial management, corporate governance, and capital markets will be instrumental in driving the bank’s future growth and investor engagement.

With this transition, Zenith Bank aims to further strengthen its financial leadership and adapt to the dynamic challenges of the global financial landscape.
