Trovotech Ltd. Honored Best Tech Startup Company of the Year, Secures SEC Listing

Trovotech Ltd., an innovative tech startup specializing in asset tokenization, continues to make waves in Nigeria’s financial and technological sectors. The company recently achieved a significant milestone with its registration under the Nigerian Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), further cementing its position as a trusted leader in the digital asset space.

This accomplishment was crowned by the company being named the “Best Tech Startup Company of the Year” during the  National Youth Retreat organized by the Nigeria Youth Organization (NYO). The award ceremony, held at the Lagos Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, saw Trovotech’s founders, Mr. Obiefuna Ezenwugoand Mr. Thomas Enechi, receiving the prestigious accolade from Hadjjia Fatima Yusuf, the National Welfare Secretary of the NYO.

Asset tokenization, a groundbreaking technology, allows real-world assets such as real estate, commodities, and stocks to be converted into digital tokens stored on blockchain platforms. These tokens offer secure and fractional ownership, providing Nigerians with investment opportunities previously out of reach.

Trovotech has taken the lead in this sector, providing solutions that democratize access to high-value assets while ensuring transparency, liquidity, and cost-effectiveness. Speaking about the potential of tokenization, Mr. Ezenwugo remarked, “Our goal is to empower Nigerians with innovative financial tools that promote inclusivity and wealth creation.”

Trovotech Ltd.’s inclusion in the SEC Nigeria’s Regulatory Incubation (RI) Program is a pivotal achievement, underscoring its commitment to compliance and investor protection. The RI Program, designed to nurture firms in the digital asset sector, enables Trovotech to refine its solutions to meet global standards.

Through its flagship platforms—Trovo App,  a decentralized asset tokenization platform, and TrovoP2P , a peer-to-peer trading platform with escrow services—Trovotech is redefining financial markets by eliminating inefficiencies and providing scalable, secure solutions for asset ownership and trading.

Themed “Inside the Rubbles of Gold: The Good of Our Country”,  the National Youth Retreat highlighted Trovotech’s contributions to the tech ecosystem and its role in empowering young Nigerians. Accepting the award, Mr. Ezenwugo praised his team for their dedication, stating, “This recognition inspires us to continue driving financial inclusion and innovation that benefits Nigerians of all backgrounds.”

The event also emphasized Trovotech’s impact on youth empowerment by opening up investment opportunities through blockchain technology.

Trovotech’s innovative approach focuses on sectors like real estate, agriculture, and infrastructure, which contributed over $17.5 billion to Nigeria’s GDP in 2023 (National Bureau of Statistics). By integrating these sectors into the capital market through tokenization, the company is poised to drive economic growth and deepen market participation.

As the global asset tokenization market is projected to exceed $16 trillion by 2030, Trovotech Ltd. is positioning itself to capitalize on this opportunity. Its commitment to regulatory compliance, technological innovation, and financial inclusion sets a high standard for the industry.

For Nigerians and global investors alike, Trovotech offers a chance to be part of a financial revolution, bringing transparency, security, and accessibility to asset-backed investments.

Founded in 2022, Trovotech Ltd. is a Nigerian tech startup dedicated to transforming traditional asset ownership through blockchain technology. With a mission to redefine wealth creation, the company focuses on delivering secure, transparent, and inclusive financial solutions.
