MOYO OGUNLEWE DISTRIBUTES ₦25 MILLION TO 250 BENEFICIARIES IN THE FIRST PHASE OF HISTORIC ₦100M EMPOWERMENT SCHEME

The Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government Area, Barr. Moyosore Ogunlewe on Monday successfully concluded the first phase of the Kosofe Cares ₦100 Million Empowerment Scheme, distributing ₦25 million to 250 beneficiaries from the general public.

The transformative initiative, aligned with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s grassroots development policies and Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu’s THEMES+ Agenda, will ultimately impact 1,000 residents across four strategic phases. Each beneficiary received direct financial support aimed at promoting self-reliance, improving livelihoods, and stimulating local economic activity.

Speaking at the distribution ceremony, the Chairman emphasised his administration’s commitment to inclusive prosperity, urging beneficiaries to utilise the funds wisely to grow enterprises and create sustainable employment opportunities.

Second Phase Alert: The next distribution targeting artisans and tradesmen holds on Tuesday, 25th November 2025, with another ₦25 million allocation.

This landmark intervention reinforces Kosofe’s position as a model local government prioritising grassroots economic empowerment and inclusive development.
