Guaranty Trust Fund Managers Limited Launches Guaranty Trust Investment Fund 724, Offering Naira-Denominated Unit Trust Scheme

Guaranty Trust Fund Managers Limited (GTFML), the asset management subsidiary of Guaranty Trust Holding Company Plc, has announced the launch of the Guaranty Trust Investment Fund 724 (“Fund 724”), an open-ended, naira-denominated Unit Trust Scheme. The scheme, which has been duly authorized and registered by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in Nigeria, aims to provide Nigerians with an accessible and flexible investment opportunity.

Fund 724 offers 10,000,000 units, each priced at ₦100.00, through an Offer for Subscription. The investment is structured to generate capital growth from a diversified portfolio of money market instruments, including fixed deposits, commercial papers, Nigerian Treasury Bills, and other short-term instruments. Subscribers to the scheme can expect to benefit from the returns of these diversified assets.

With a minimum subscription requirement of just ₦1,000.00, Fund 724 opens up investment opportunities to everyday Nigerians, providing a platform for them to grow their savings with the ease of access and flexibility to make withdrawals when needed. The scheme will track the 91-day average Nigerian Treasury Bills’ yield from the preceding month, giving subscribers competitive returns in line with prevailing market conditions.

Speaking on the launch of the Fund, Josephine Essien, Executive Director and Chief Investment Officer of GTFML, emphasized the goal of democratizing investment opportunities for Nigerians. **“We are very excited to bring a retail product that empowers the everyday Nigerian to compound the growth of their savings, whilst retaining the flexibility of withdrawals to meet their everyday needs,”** she said.

Essien also highlighted the company’s commitment to financial inclusion, stating, **“When most people think about asset management, they think of it as something reserved for a privileged few. Guaranty Trust Fund Managers hopes to change this narrative with the launch of Fund 724, designed to provide access to long-term capital growth for anyone who has as little as ₦1,000 to save.”**

Fund 724 will officially open for applications on September 30, 2024, with a minimum subscription of ₦1,000.00. Investors can add to their holdings in multiples of 10 units. For more details on the Guaranty Trust Investment Fund 724, including the Offer Prospectus, interested individuals are encouraged to visit the company’s website at www.gtfundmanagers.com.
