In a grand ceremony held at the prestigious Eko Hotel, Lagos, the Green Assembly Initiative, in partnership with the National Youth Organization (NYO), presented an Award of Excellence to Dr. Eur Ing Chinedu Ogwus, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to youth development, empowerment, and security.
The award ceremony was graced by high-profile dignitaries, youth leaders, and development advocates from across the country. The President of the National Youth Organization, Comrade Duke Alamboye, delivered an impassioned speech, praising Dr. Ogwus for his consistent advocacy for youth inclusion, skill-building, and safety in both local and international spheres.
“Dr. Ogwus is not only a scholar of global repute but a mentor and change agent who has invested time and resources in building a secure future for our youths,” Comrade Alamboye stated.
Dr. Ogwus, a highly decorated engineer and academic, holds multiple professional fellowships and distinctions including PhD, CEng, IntPE (UK), MEI, CMgr FCMI, FAAPM, FCIMC, FNISafetyE, FNIPetE, and JP. In his acceptance speech, he dedicated the award to all Nigerian youths striving to overcome systemic challenges and become productive citizens.
“This recognition strengthens my resolve to continue championing policies and projects that uplift our young people. Nigeria’s future is secure only when we invest deliberately in its youth,” Dr. Ogwus remarked.
The Award of Excellence is part of Green Assembly’s long-standing campaign to promote sustainable leadership, social responsibility, and youth-inclusive development across Africa.
