Dangote Cement Zambia Wins Three Sustainability Awards
Dangote Cement Zambia has been recognized for its outstanding contributions to corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability, winning three prestigious awards at the 6th National CSR & Sustainability Awards in Lusaka.
The company received accolades in the following categories:
- Food Security Initiative Award (Excellence in Agriculture)
- Best Waste Recycling Initiative Award (Environmental Sustainability)
- Mental Healthcare Award (Excellence in the Workplace)
Organized by CSR Network Zambia, the event celebrated corporate organizations driving sustainable impact through innovation. Lee Muzala, Executive Director of CSR Network Zambia, commended Dangote Cement Zambia for its commitment to agriculture, environmental conservation, and employee well-being.
Receiving the awards, Victor Mpundu, Head of Environment and Social Performance, emphasized the company’s dedication to sustainability, stating that corporate responsibility is a core value of Dangote Cement’s operations.
The recognition reinforces Dangote Cement Zambia’s leadership in CSR and sustainability, motivating the company to continue driving impactful initiatives that contribute to Zambia’s development.
