Vice President Kashim Shettima on Thursday led governors of the All Progressives Congress, top party leaders, and stakeholders to officially submit the Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the party’s presidential primaries.
The ceremony, which took place at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja, attracted prominent figures within the ruling party and was widely seen as a major demonstration of support for President Tinubu’s re-election ambition ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Among those present was the member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, James Abiodun Faleke, alongside other senior APC stakeholders and political allies.
The National Chairman of the APC, Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe, formally received the Vice President and members of the delegation during the submission process.
Party faithful at the event expressed confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership and reaffirmed their commitment to the APC and the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Speaking at the gathering, party leaders described the submission of the nomination forms as a significant step in consolidating unity within the APC, noting that preparations for the 2027 elections were already gaining momentum.
The event also witnessed a strong display of solidarity among APC governors and stakeholders, who pledged continued support for the administration’s policies aimed at sustaining national progress and stability.
