In a resounding celebration of International Women’s Day, Lion Sunday OLUOMO Akere MJF NLCF, candidate for Second Vice District Governor (2VDG) of Lions International District 404B2 Nigeria, championed the pivotal role of women in society. With an unwavering commitment to inclusivity and recognition of women’s contributions, Lion Akere emphasized the remarkable capabilities of women, stating, “When you give a woman an assignment, you can be assured of perfect delivery, and today’s event tells it all.”
This assertion was more than rhetoric as Lion Akere showcased his dedication to empowering Lion women by ensuring his cabinet remains open to their invaluable participation. Under the theme “Invest in Her: Accelerate Progress,” the event held on Friday, March 8th, 2024, was a beacon of inspiration, offering attendees a platform for transformative talks, goal-crushing workshops, powerful networking opportunities, and access to grants. The event took place from 11 am to 2 pm at the Sapphire Hall, located at 8 Olufunmilola Okikiolu Toyin Street, Ikeja, Lagos.
