LASG ANNOUNCES ROAD PROJECTS AND BRIDGES READY FOR COMMISSIONING IN DECEMBER

 

The Lagos State government through the Ministry of Infrastructure has announced 36 road projects and 5 bridges ready for commissioning from Monday 9th December, 2024.

The Special Adviser on Infrastructure, Engr. Olufemi Daramola disclosed this while briefing the Press on Friday at the Bagauda Kaltho Press Centre, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos.

Engr. Daramola said Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu administration is undeterred in delivering infrastructure that would improve the living standard of residents despite the global economic challenges and the upswing inflation which has seen significant rise in costs.

His words, “It is important to mention that despite the global economic challenges and spiraling inflation which led to a major increase in the costs hitherto earmarked for the projects, almost to a point of abandonment.

“The administration of Mr Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, prioritized the delivery of these projects.

The Babajide Sanwo-Olu administration has completed and is going to commission 36 Roads, 5 Bridges and a pedestrian Bridge to Lagosians in due course.”

The projects to be commissioned include but not limited to the following:

R-L: Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso; Special Adviser to Governor Sanwo-Olu on Infrastructure, Engr. Olufemi Daramola; Permanent Secretary, Office of Infrastructure, Engr. Ayodele Somide and Special Adviser to the governor on Media and Publicity, Mr. Gboyega Akosile during the press briefing

— REHABILITATION/UPGRADING OF BABAJIDE SANWO-OLU ROAD (DOPEMU ROAD) AGEGE.

— CONSTRUCTION OF BABAFEMI DADA WITH BRIDGE – YINKA FOLARIN – JAMIU LAWAL – SHALOM ACADEMY ROAD NETWORK, ALIMOSHO LGA.

— CONSTRUCTION OF ABARANJE ROAD IN ALIMOSHO LGA. 

— RECONSTRUCTION & DUALISATION OF IREDE ROAD IN AMUWO ODOFIN LGA.

— REHABILITATION/UPGRADING OF MUMUNI ADIO (BUBA MARWA) AMUWO-ODOFIN.

— NAVY TOWN (SECTION 1) ROAD IN AMUWO ODOFIN LGA.

— RECONSTRUCTION OF OLD OJO ROAD (PHASE 1) FROM IREE TO OLUTI IN AMUWO ODOFIN LGA.

— REHABILITATION OF ARADAGUN-MOSAFEJO-AJIDO-IMEKE ROAD IN BADAGRY LGA PHASE III, BADAGRY.

— CONSTRUCTION OF SAMUEL EKUNDAYO ROAD IN BADAGRY L.G.A.

— RECONSTRUCTION OF HOSPITAL ROAD, (PHASE 1) BADAGRY.

— CONSTRUCTION OF ELUKU STREET/MOSAFEJO, AGBOWA IKOSI IN EPE LGA.

— REHABILITATION/UPGRADING OF ILABERE, ILU AND INUPA ROADS IN IKOYI, ETI-OSA LGA…”

Parts of the briefing were: Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso; Special Adviser to Governor Sanwo-Olu on Media and Publicity, Mr. Gboyega Akosile; Permanent Secretary, Office of Infrastructure, Engr. Ayodele Somide and his counterpart in the Ministry of Information and Strategy, Mr. Olumide Sogunle.
