Ooni Ife Endorses 7th Edition of Adron Games during Courtesy Visit
In a grand gesture of support for sports development, His Imperial Majesty, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, CFR, endorsed the upcoming 7th edition of the Adron Games during a courtesy visit by the Chairman and CEO of Adron Homes and Properties, Aare Adetola Emmanuelking, on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at the palace in Ile-Ife. The Adron Games 2024 are slated to take place in November in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The visit coincided with the conclusion of the Ooni’s birthday celebrations, during which Aare Adetola, also known as Aare Akile Adimula Oodua, praised the monarch for his continuous support of real estate development and his key role in promoting sports as a tool for community growth and youth engagement. In a symbolic act, Aare Adetola presented a soccer ball to the Ooni, who delighted guests by showcasing his football skills. The Ooni was also presented with a framed official Adron Games jersey, further solidifying his endorsement of the sporting event.
The Ooni formally expressed his endorsement through a signed letter, confirming his intention to attend the games. He lauded Adron Homes for its commitment to sports, emphasizing that sports play a vital role in uniting the nation’s youth across cultural and regional boundaries. His Imperial Majesty also thanked Aare Adetola and his team for their contributions during the Annual Olojo Festival and for their thoughtful birthday gifts.
Aare Adetola, in his remarks, expressed his deep honor in partnering with traditional rulers like the Ooni and contributing to the development of their communities. He extended his best wishes to the monarch for continued good health and prosperity, expressing hope for future collaborations and milestones.
